European Day of Languages 2018

20th Sep 2018

Friday 28th September, we will be celebrating European Day of Languages and remembering Article 7 and 30 which focus on our Rights to a nationality and to use our language and culture. Each year group can come to school dressed in the national costume of that country, the colours of the country's flag, someone famous from that country or even just a flag painted on your face! We don’t expect parents and guardians to buy costumes, simple colours will do. The children will get to experience the sounds, tastes and language of their chosen country for the day.

We have a new suggestion from a parent this year, to get the families involved, we are inviting parents/guardians to dress up alongside their children for the walk to/from school and pose for a few photographs for the school website when you arrive! We will have a French themed café with tea and coffee for parents in the hall from 9 A.M. We hope to see as many parents as possible join in the fun!

Any questions, please see the class teacher or ask Mr McGinley
