Exploring Ancient Egypt
Primary 5 have had lots of fun jumping into our first theme, Ancient Egypt!
During our carousel activity, children explored facts, books, maps, sand and Google Earth before coming together as a class to share things they saw, things they thought and things they wondered! Here are some of the things they shared:
I see lots of pyramids
I see a mummy
I see Egyptians
I see the Nile river
I think some of the pharaohs were mean
I think people started to write 5500 years ago
I think gold was used as a currency
I think there were 130 pyramids
I wonder are Egyptians still alive
I wonder how the ancient Egyptians made clothes
I wonder who the 4 sons of Horus were
I wonder why mummies look this way
I wonder where Egypt is
Throughout term one we will be exploring this theme while answering all of these questions our class are curious to find out about! We will report back with more learning!
Over and out!
