P6 learn all about the heart ♥️

P6 have enjoyed learning all about their bodies throughout the Operation topic. Today we explored the function of the heart, role it plays in our body, different parts of the muscle and the affect exercise has on our heart rate by measuring the beats per minute using a monitor. 

The children created a playdoh model of the heart together and labelled this. They completed a series of exercises and compared their heart rate before and after this. ♥️
